The Office of the City Building Official (OCBO) of Davao City has denied the request of the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) for the master plans and building plans of the structures inside the compound of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).

PRO-11 made the request on August 29, 2024, and it was denied the following day.

“Meron na kaming previous attempts na kumuha but ayaw kasi namin ibroadcast ang aming intention,” Torre said.

KOJC’s chief legal counsel, Atty. Israelito Torreon, said the denial of the request is in accordance with the law.

“We subscribe. Thank you very much for doing that because that is in accordance with law. This matter, if they want to do that, needs judicial imprimatur,” Torreon said.

According to OCBO, it is an alleged violation of Section 172 of the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (RA 8293) and the request can only be granted if there is a valid court order.

On Thursday, September 4, 2024, OCBO officials went to the compound to inspect the alleged excavation at the basement of the JMC Building but they could not get in because the police were barricading.

Meanwhile, Torreon said they have received the order of the Court of Appeals (CA) declaring the Temporary Protection Order (TPO) null and void. They were not allegedly asked for comment about this.

“The siege in the KOJC… the violations committed in Davao City… then we feel that RT Davao City has jurisdiction on the matter and we are filing an MR, a motion for reconsideration, so as to give the CA a chance to take a second look into its resolution,” Torreon said.

Torreon also responded to Torre’s claims that the target personalities of the arrest warrant are still inside the compound.

“I am more than certain to the stupidity of that person who said that because even there is already an overwhelming evidence that there is no tunnel there and there is no permit to conduct tunneling activity here they have already made intrusive searches in the nooks and crannies of the kojc and JMC only a fool and stupid person will persist in his idea thet he is correct,” Torreon added.
