A man who held his live-in partner hostage in Catalunan Pequeño, Davao City was killed after he allegedly fought back against authorities.

According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, police said the suspect identified as alias “Pulong Sator” was declared dead on arrival at the Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC). He was reportedly denied at a private hospital.

Investigation showed that the suspect confronted a certain “Amor” who was buying a coconut from a store, which resulted in a heated argument. The suspect allegedly drew his caliber .45 pistol and pointed it at the woman, forcing her to run and seek police assistance.

When the operatives arrived and approached the suspect, the suspect allegedly resisted and held his live-in partner hostage.

The suspect allegedly took his partner forcibly away and tried to flee on board a motorcycle, but he was chased by the operatives.

While he was fleeing, he hit another rider, causing him to fall.

Police said the suspect attempted to fight back, prompting them to shoot him. The suspect sustained gunshot wounds in the body.

His live-in partner and the other rider are already safe.
