Suspected shabu that weighed approximately 37 kilos was seized by the authorities in the Province of Northern Samar.
The haul, estimated to be worth P200 million, was seized from a suspect referred to as alias “Roel” in a joint operation of the Philippine National Police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 8 - Northern Samar Provincial Office, and Seaport Interdiction Unit on the morning of August 31, 2024.
According to PDEA, the illegal drugs were concealed in Chinese tea bags.
The suspect traveled intentionally at around 6 a.m. to avoid checkpoints, but he was intercepted in Barangay Jubasan, Allen town in Northern Samar.
However, the suspect fled from the scene.
