The Senate is set to conduct a joint committee public hearing and ocular inspection at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound in Davao City on Friday, September 6, 2024, in connection with the ongoing police operations to arrest Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and his co-accused.

The Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights has issued a notice for the ocular inspection, which will be followed by a public hearing at the Sangguniang Panglungsod Building.

It will be a joint public hearing with the Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs Act.

The Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) has yet to receive the formal notice, but it has already learned about the activity.

PRO-11 said it is open to any inspection.

“Any inspection na gagawin, open naman ang PNP, and I think well-coordinated naman ‘yan sa ating STG commander…Ang STG commander na po ang magcoordinate niyan sa Senate committee kung ano po ang gagawin specifically doon sa lugar,” PRO-11 Spokesperson, Major Catherine Dela Rey, said.

GMA Regional TV One Mindanao is still waiting for the comment of the legal counsel of KOJC regarding the scheduled ocular inspection, as of this writing.
