The Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) has cried foul over the excavation allegedly conducted by authorities at the basement of Jose Maria College (JMC) Building inside the compound in Davao City.

KOJC’s legal counsel, Atty. Israelito Torreon, said a photo he received showed the police digging a tunnel at the basement of the JMC Building.

The alleged digging has reportedly reached eight meters deep and Torreon said might affect the stability of the building.

The Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) was quick to deny the allegation.

“Yan sa digging na yan, allegation ni Atty. Torreon yan. Let him prove it,” PRO-11 Director, Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III, said.

Torreon called on PNP chief General Rommel Marbil to allow them to enter the basement to confirm the excavation.

He also questioned if the supposed digging is still covered by the service of the arrest warrant against KOJC leader, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, and if the police have ‘reasonable belief’ that he is in the compound.

Eleven days into the operation, police have yet to find Quiboloy and other accused in the alleged trafficking case.

Police continue to believe Quiboloy is at the compound.

“Hanggang ngayon, naniniwala kaming nandyan siya… tinatawanan kami… sige lang, there is always time for everything at darating ‘yan… sabi ko nga, mahuhuli rin natin yan,” Torre added.
