On the seventh day of the serving of the warrant of arrest against  Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, a church minister has negated the statements made by Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos on alleged secret passageways inside the KOJC cathedral at its compound in Davao City.

Abalos earlier said that the passageways connect to the room of Quiboloy, and other furnished rooms.

KOJC Minister Carlo Catiil debunked the statements.

“Sa cathedral daw, may nadiskubre na lagusan na parang sikreto na passage. Pagganyan mo may maganda na lounge. Kabit lang po yun, sir. Cathedral ito sir, ito wall yan, stage, backstage po yan papahingahan. Diyan na po yung stage namin for the service and worship. Wala pong lagusan diyan, sir. Dinugtong lang po yung picture, ito po yung ginamit, ibang picture ang ginamit, basement po yun at dinugtong yung maganda na lounge at eto na,” Catiil said.

Abalos also claimed that molotov and bolos buried in sand were discovered at the roof deck of the Jose Marie College building.

“May nakita silang molotov, may nakita silang matataas na itak, may maniwala po ba niyan, sir? Ang dali pong magtanim niyan, sir,” Catiil added.

When sought for comment, Police Brig. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba, spokesperson of STG Teknon Alpha, said that he has no information about the items.

“I have no information on that. And definitely our law enforcers wouldn’t do that,” Brig. Gen. Alba said.

Catiil also denied that barbed wires around the compound are connected to a live wire.

Further, he called on the Commission on Human Rights and Senator Risa Hontiveros to investigate on alleged ongoing human rights violation made by the policemen upon members of KOJC.

“May nakikinig ba sa amin? Saan ang CHR? Risa Hontiveros I’m calling you, di ba ikaw ang kampeon ng kababaihan at kabataan? Marami pong naabuso,” Catiil further said.

As for Alba, he said he respects each person’s right to air grievances.

“Every citizen in this country has every right to air their grievances and we respect them for that. But it should be at a proper forum not air it to the media and other means. Maganda yun that we respect the criminal justice system. Go to the police, go to the courts, i-air ang inyong reklamo,” Alba said.

A Facebook post by Atty. Israelito Torreon, chief  legal counsel of KOJC, reads that  no secret door was found by the Philippine National Police (PNP) inside the cathedral.  He said that it is an established corridor where Quiboloy passes through.

Torreon mentioned of a screenshot of a program done at the cathedral where a church member opened the door and Quiboloy walked through the pathway.
