The bodies of two men were found floating at Pantal River in Dagupan City.

One body was identified to be that of 33-year-old Carlos Cisnero from Barangay Mangin.

According to his family, Cisnero had a mental disability and left home without informing anyone.

“Hinanap namin siya maghapon, hindi naming makita, ‘yun pala patay na siya," Alexis Cisnero, a relative, said.

The other body was identified to be that of 14-year-old Brandon Simudio, a resident of Barangay Pantal.

His family is puzzled about how he ended up in the river.

“Wala kaming kaalam-alam sa nangyari. Hindi namin alam kung paano siya napunta sa ilog. Naligo ba siya? Itinulak ba siya? Hindi namin alam," Mary Grace Bauzon, Simudio's parent, said.

The police have not found any evidence of foul play in either case.

They said Cisnero and Simudio’s family declined an autopsy.

“Base sa doctor, walang galos or any external injuries, ang dalawa kaya possible nalunod talaga," PLT. Jailine Aquino, Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) Officer at Dagupan City Police Station, said.

Although the bodies were found on the same day, the police clarified that the case of each may not be connected.
