A 33-year-old driver was arrested at Matnog Port in Sorsogon after suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia were found in his possession during routine inspection.
A sachet of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found in the man’s pouch during inspection inside the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) premises before boarding.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) responded quickly to the scene.
It was revealed that the suspect was supposed to travel to Samar.
The suspect is now in the custody of authorities for further investigation and legal action.
