A fire broke out in Barangay Caloocan Sur, Binmaley, Pangasinan on August 25, 2024 rapidly spreading and destroying several homes.

The fire started at the house of Nadissa Flores, who was not home at the time.

However, her two grandchildren were inside when the fire broke out.

Flores recounted what her grandchild experienced:

Tumawag ka ng 911,'" she said.

While the children were unharmed, Flores’ husband, Salvador, was injured while trying to save some of their belongings.

According to the Barangay Council, the fire affected eight houses.

The Binmaley Fire Station is still investigating the cause of the fire and the extent of damage.

The residents affected are now staying in the barangay's covered court and are calling for assistance.
