Families from various parts of the country have headed to Baguio City to enjoy the cool climate and numerous tourist spots during the long weekend.

The Guevarra family from Pampanga began their journey early to make the most of their weekend in Baguio City.

Their first stop was the iconic Lion’s Head along Kennon Road.

"Dito malamig ang klima at maraming tourist spot," Edward Guevarra said.

With so many places to visit in Baguio, the family feels that four days might not be enough to explore everything.

Meanwhile, the Catao family from Bohol is determined to make the most of their time, especially with Baguio’s perfect temperature of 18.4 degrees Celsius.

"Malamig na ang Baguio, enjoy very much," Joy Catao said.

To ensure the safety of tourists, more than 300 tourist police officers have been deployed throughout the city.

Visitors are advised to be cautious of various criminal schemes and to adhere to city ordinances, including the anti-smoking and anti-littering policies.

The number coding scheme for vehicles remains in effect, even on holidays.

"This Friday and Monday ay kailangan nilang sundin ang coding. Dahil kahit holiday ay inu-observe pa rin sa city tuwing weekdays ang coding," PMaj. Harriet Bulcio from the Baguio City Police Office said.

Despite the increased traffic, the city’s main roads, including Kennon Road, Marcos Highway, and Naguilian Road, remains open.
