A member of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) succumbed reportedly to a cardiac arrest while police were searching for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy at the KOJC compound in Davao City on Saturday, August 24, 2024. 

This was confirmed by P/Maj. Catherine dela Rey, spokesperson of PRO-11, according to a report by GMA Regional TV One Mindanao. 

The KOJC member was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. 

Prior to this, ambulances were seen entering and leaving the compound. 

As of this writing, PRO-11 personnel continue to search for Quiboloy and four others in the compound. About 2,000 policemen were deployed for the operation Saturday, including augmentation forces from PRO 10, 12, and 13.

Quiboloy is facing charges for alleged violation of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act and Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act. His co-accused are also facing charges for alleged violation of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.

Earlier, PRO-11 released and circulated across the region nearly 200 “wanted” posters of Quiboloy and his co-accused.
