At least seven students who were frightened reportedly of a thunderstorm were rushed to the hospital.
The students from Valverde National High School in Barangay Cata-an, San Joaquin town, Iloilo City reportedly lost consciousness after thunder and lightning struck near the said school.
San Joaquin Police said no one was hit by lightning bolts but the thunderstorm frightened the students; afterwhich, they started feeling dizzy, and fainted.
The students, ages 12 years old to 15 years old, are already in stable condition and dispensed from the hospital, as of posting time.
Heavy rain fell in the said area prior to episodes of thunderclaps and lightning strikes.
