Authorities confiscated alleged smuggled cigarettes worth more than P20 million off Sulu.
Troops of the Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM) were patrolling the waters of Tubigan Island in Sulu when they intercepted a motorbanca loaded with alleged smuggled cigarettes.
During the inspection, the watercraft was found to be carrying more than 300 master cases of cigarettes.
The seven crew members on board were arrested after they failed to present documents for the cargo.
The items seized were brought to the Bureau of Customs (BOC).
