The local government of Zamboanga City continues to monitor pork sold in the city due to the threat of the African Swine Fever (ASF).

The city’s Task Force Karne has checked all meat cold storage facilities and meat products sold in malls.

This is to ensure that all facilities follow the meat safety standards and meat products are safe for human consumption.

Last week, the City Veterinary Office has conducted food safety orientation for meat vendors and meat handlers on the proper preservation of pork.
