A motorcycle rider was injured seriously after he was pinned between a truck and a passenger bus in Barangay San Isidro, Libmanan, Camarines Sur.

According to the Libmanan Municipal Police Station (MPS), the truck, traveling towards Pamplona, Camarines Sur, stopped suddenly when a vehicle in front of it made a sudden sharp turn.

The sudden stop caused the motorcycle to crash into the rear of the truck.

The bus driver reportedly misjudged the distance of the motorcycle, resulting in the motorcycle being crushed between the rear of the truck and the front of the bus.

"Nag-apply ini’yong full-stop ini’yong truck asin nag[bangga] sa truck ini’yong motorcycle — nagtama siya sa hurihan kan truck na naging resulta man para mabangga man kaining kaini’yong bus ini’yong motorcycle, na ang bus na yaon sa likod man kaining nasabing motorcycle," PEMS Joel Bencolado of the Libmanan MPS said.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.

In Polangui, Albay, a head-on collision occurred between a decker truck and a wing van in Barangay Ubaliw.

The accident happened when the decker truck crossed into the lane of the approaching wing van, leading to the collision.

The driver of the wing van was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both parties are reported to have reached a settlement regarding the accident.

In San Andres, Catanduanes, a passenger was injured after being thrown from a truck due to a brake failure in Barangay Lictin.

The driver managed to steer the vehicle to avoid falling off the road by crashing at the roadside.

PSMS Mark Orasa from the San Andres MPS advised drivers to avoid making sudden moves on the road, and to drive safely and slowly.

"Mag-ingat po kita pirmi sa pagmaneho — sa pag-biyahe. ‘Wag tayong tatalon basta — make sure na safe kita. Saka mas magayon yung dahan-dahan lang," he said.
