A 63-year-old man was hacked to death by his neighbor after the two figured in a heated argument in Bansalan, Davao del Sur.
Police said the victim and the suspect were playing a game of cara y cruz (heads or tails) while drinking together outside the house of the victim.
In the middle of their drinking session, the two figured in a heated argument. The suspect went home and got a bolo and hacked the victim several times.
The suspect also reportedly hacked a dog and a chicken, and damaged a tricycle parked in the area.
Police arrested the suspect who tried to flee after the incident.
He is now under police custody and may face charges.
