Health workers in Camarines Norte have yet to receive their health emergency allowances, which were promised for their services during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The delay has prompted the Human Resources Office of the Camarines Norte Provincial Hospital (CNPH) to address the issue with the Provincial Board.

According to CNPH, all required documentation has been submitted. However, the processing of the health emergency allowance depends on the Health Emergency Allowance Processing System and the Department of Health (DOH) Bicol.

The final validation must be done by the DOH National Office.

The CNPH clarified that they do not have control over the processing timeline and are awaiting further updates.

The CNPH reported that nearly PHP 85 million in claims are still pending for health workers.

"Sa ngayon po ay nag-follow up kami sa region, at sinabi nila na kami ay nasa batch three kasama pa po ang 50 health facilit[ies] sa buong Region 5," Israel Llaneta, Human Resources (HR) Officer at CNPH, said.

The Provincial Board has passed a resolution to expedite the release of the allowances.
