Suspected shabu worth approximately P41 million was seized in a buy-bust operation in Bacolod City, and another P1 million in Iloilo City. 

Illegal drugs worth P41 million were seized from an alleged High Value Individual (HVI) referred to only as alias “Tol,” 28 years old, in a buy-bust operation carried out by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 in Purok Malipayon, Barangay 35, Bacolod City at past 8 p.m. on August 13, 2024.

A poseur buyer bought from alias “Tol” suspected shabu worth P60,000.

The suspect was found to have carried other six packs of illegal drugs weighing 6.08 kilos with an estimated value of P41,344,000.

Money worth P16,300 believed to be proceeds were also recovered from the suspect, aside from drug paraphernalia, digital weighing scale, and other non-drug items.

Two other persons during the operation were also arrested and will face charges for obstruction of justice.

Meanwhile, in Iloilo City, suspected shabu worth P1 million was recovered in Zone 3, Barangay Bakhaw, in the district of Mandurriao.

Alias “Bogs,” 22 years old, another alleged HVI, was found to have sold illegal drugs worth P12,000 to poseur buyers from the City Drug Enforcement Unit.

The operation was conducted at past 9 p.m., also on August 13, 2024.

Four transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and two other bundles were seized from his possession.

The illegal drugs haul reached 150 grams with an estimated value of P1,020,000.

Recovered from “Bogs” is the buy-bust money worth P12,000 and other non-drug items.

“Bogs” is detained at the Iloilo City Police Station 10.
