A fire gutted a warehouse in Lapu-Lapu City and left behind approximately P28 million in damages. 

The fire broke out in Sitio Kolo, Barangay Pajac.

According to FO3 Jeffrey Gerodiaz, fire investigator at the  Lapu-Lapu City Fire Station, they receive the alarm at 2:21 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

The fire was declared under control at 2:48 p.m. and a fire-out by 3:177 p.m.

It was learned that the warehouse stored pieces of furniture.

Initial investigation said that the defective breaker of a water pump could have possibly caused the fire.

As of posting time, investigation has continued.
