Anti-narcotics agents arrested two alleged big-time illegal drug dealers in Northern Mindanao in a buy-bust operation in Cagayan de Oro.

One of the suspects was identified as alias “boss” while the other was a port employee.

Authorities said one of them is an alleged son of a big-time drug queen in the Visayas.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has been monitoring the suspects’ activities for quite some time.

According to PDEA, the suspects allegedly got their drug supply from the National Capital Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, and Lanao del Sur.

“Pinaka-high value target nato si alyas boss…before the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte, na-mention ni…nga nalambigit sa illegal nga droga sa queen city of the south somewhere in Cebu,” PDEA-Misamis Oriental Chief, Expedito Cardona Jr., Said.

Seized from the suspects were sachets of suspected shabu worth around P100,000.

PDEA also planned to access the content of the suspects’ cellphones to identify and trace their contacts in the illegal drug trade.

“From Manila, naa silay ginatawag nga mga fixer para dili moagi sa normal nga proseso ang ilang package nila,” Cardona added.

The suspects are now detained and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
