Two women and a man were arrested during a raid conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Albay and local police at an alleged drug den in Barangay San Roque, Legazpi City.

Another female suspect escaped during the operation.

Authorities seized 11 sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P66,000 from the suspects.

Authorities also discovered that minors were being exposed to drug activities at the site.

The discovery of minors witnessing drug use at the location has raised concerns further among the authorities.

PDEA Albay Provincial Officer Noe Briguel said some of those involved are employees of the government's ‘Tulong Pang-hanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers’ (TUPAD) program.

“According sa mga informant ‘ta and then an satuyang confidential informant, makusog duman an garamitan tuwing may mga sahod na ini. So an iba ngane kaini mga empleyado pa sa TUPAD, so makamundo diba,” Briguel said.

The suspects are now in police custody as charges are being prepared to be filed against them.

The investigation is ongoing, with efforts to locate the suspect who escaped.
