An incident of road rage in Bacolod City was captured in a dashboard camera video.

Seen in the dashcam video is a man in white shirt who was bringing what was believed to be a piece of wood he tried to hide behind him. Later, a man in stripes was seen running but stumbled on the road. The two wrestled on the road surrounded by vehicles, and engaged in a fistfight.

The incident happened on 27th Lacson Street in Bacolod City on Monday morning of August 5, 2024 while a vehicular accident in the area had created a traffic jam.

Personnel of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) with their deputy chief witnessed the incident while they were responding to a traffic incident. Involved in the road mishap is the car of the man in stripes seen in the video. The man in white shirt is not involved in the vehicular accident, but was enraged when the man in stripes allegedly pounded his car when he passed in the area.

According to BTAO, the object the man in white shirt was bringing, earlier believed to be a piece of wood, is a katana (a Japanese samurai sword).
