A couple was killed allegedly by a fellow worker at a poultry farm located in a remote area of Sitio Capos, Barangay San Rafael in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.
According to a witness, the suspect attacked the male victim first with a metal pipe. The witness still reportedly managed to inform the female victim about the attack before the suspect assaulted her.
The witness left the crime scene immediately.
Based on police investigation, the attack may have something to do with a work-related dispute between the suspect and the victims. The three were all employed at the poultry farm with the couple acting as caretaker.
Apolinario Lunar Jr., Officer in Charge of the Sto. Tomas Component City Police Station, said.
The victims sustained severe head and body injuries believed to have caused their deaths.
The crime scene showed personal belongings of the victims that the suspect allegedly scattered around.
The suspect was apprehended by barangay tanods and the police.
