A 50-year-old rider died after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a truck in Masbate City.
According to a report from the Philippine National Police (PNP), the accident occurred when a truck suddenly turned left to park and unload crops.
The motorcycle, which appeared suddenly, collided with the truck.
The impact was so severe that the victim’s helmet was shattered. The man sustained severe head injuries and died on the scene.
The truck owner has coordinated with the victim’s family and shouldered all expenses for the wake and burial.
The truck driver is now in police custody and is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
