Since July 24, 2024, the train service between Naga City, Camarines Sur and Legazpi City, Albay has an additional schedule to accommodate more passengers.

The new schedule is a 10:00 a.m. trip, providing a convenient option for travelers with uncertain schedules.

"Sa mga dara-dara mo, medyo mahewas man ang tren kesa sa jeep o bus," Rosalinda Almero, a regular passenger, said.

An adjustment was also made to the departure time of the first trip from Naga.

The first train now departs from the Philippine National Railways (PNR) Naga Station at 4:30 a.m., arriving at Legazpi Station at approximately 7:34 a.m.

According to Jerald Casaol, Officer in Charge at PNR Naga Station, this adjustment is part of the preparations for the upcoming school season.

"Ang benefits po kaiyan sa public ay ‘yung nagiging accessible na po ‘yung Naga to Legazpi. Iwas pa sa traffic," Casaol said.

The train has a seating capacity of 400 passengers per trip, with each trip taking about three hours.
