Anti-illegal drug operatives seized suspected shabu worth around P6.8 million in a sting operation in Maguindanao del Norte.

Police arrested the suspect identified as alias “Mors,” 30, a resident of Barangay Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat. His two companions escaped.

Authorities said the initial meet-up between the suspect and the poseur-buyer was supposed to be in Sultan Kudarat. However, the suspect allegedly became reluctant and moved the transaction to Datu Odin Sinsuat.

Seized from the suspect were one kilo of suspected shabu worth around P6.8 million and other personal belongings.

The suspect is now detained and will face drug charges. He did not issue a statement.

Police are also investigating the background of the suspect in terms of his alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.
