A 16-year-old girl was strangled and stabbed by her own father in Barangay Carig Norte, Tuguegarao City.
Based on police investigation, relatives and neighbors first heard a heated argument between the two. Attempts to intervene were futile and the relatives later found the man strangling his daughter.
The suspect, 34, fled right after.
Authorities are hunting the suspect down, as of this writing.
The victim's mother, an overseas Filipino worker (OFW), is set to return to the country.
