Three stores were damaged when a wing van carrying sacks of feeds rammed into them in Marilog Proper, Davao City.

Authorities said the truck loaded with around 500 sacks of feeds was bound for Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur from Bukidnon.

According to the truck driver, he lost control of the vehicle when the brakes allegedly malfunctioned while the truck was travelling downhill.

“Pag-last na nga kurbada, pabahada nako, wala na man gyud. Unya diha ra man unta nako sa ubos sa barangay hall itagak, unya wala ma’y mga kanal, eh di huna-huna nako mangita gyud kog kanal nga lawom lawom para matagak gyud siya, aron dili ko makadamage og kuan kay naa man gud nagbrigada pud diri,” the driver, Gemar Jerez, said.

No one was reported hurt in the incident.

The store owners and the boss of the truck driver have reportedly reached an agreement.

“Mobayad man daw sila kay ako pud ipatukod balik kay magsugod na og klase kay kining tindahan namo para ni sa eskwelahan kung magklase,” an owner of one of the stores, Arnold Dimas, said.
