A Chinese fugitive was apprehended by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) during a raid at a private resort in San Fernando City, La Union.

Acting on a mission order, PAOCC personnel raided the resort after receiving reports that it was a hideout for Chinese bosses and operators allegedly involved in illegal POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators) hubs raided previously in Bamban, Tarlac, and Porac, Pampanga.

Authorities found only one person at the villa, a Chinese fugitive who had been wanted in China.

"Sa kasamaang palad hindi na namin nadatnan yung subject natin. May inabot kami isang foreign national na nagngalang Lin Quide, at ng chineck namin ito... isa pala siyang wanted fugitive," Usec. Gilberto Cruz, Executive Director of PAOCC, said.

The fugitive is involved allegedly in hacking and locating victims for POGO operations, targeting individuals in Taiwan and the United Kingdom.

The captured Chinese national is now in the custody of authorities for documentation and possible deportation.
