Authorities confiscated alleged smuggled cigarettes worth more than P12 million in separate operations in Zamboanga City.
Police launched a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sinunuc and seized a total of 120 master cases and 78 reams of alleged smuggled cigarettes worth around P6.8 million.
Two suspects were arrested after they failed to present proper documents for the items.
A few hours later, operatives recovered 99 master cases and 36 reams of alleged smuggled cigarettes worth around P5.6 million in a police operation in Barangay Maasin.
Another suspect was arrested.
The three suspects are now detained and will face charges. They did not give a statement.
