Soldiers recovered materials used for making explosives in Barangay Exciban, Labo, Camarines Norte.

The cache included five large plastic drums containing 21 rolls of detonating cables, capable of producing nearly 2,000 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) valued at approximately P2.3 million.

Authorities believe the materials belong to a rebel group and were hidden in the area.

Authorities said the discovery is a significant breakthrough, potentially preventing these materials from being used in illegal activities by the rebels.
