A man was caught on closed circuit television (CCTV) breaking into a second-hand clothing store or "ukay-ukay" in Barangay Oro Site, Legazpi City, Albay.

Surveillance footage shows a man entering the store, glancing briefly at the CCTV camera, before proceeding to rummage through piles of second-hand clothes.

The two dogs at the store did not react to the presence of the intruder.

In another camera angle, the man is seen attempting to open a drawer. When he opened it, he took its contents out, which included approximately P1,200 in cash, a backpack, and 10 pairs of shoes.

The store owner did not release a statement and left the investigation with the police.

"Nag-backtracking kita giraray — kung possibly — kung saen su ruta [niya], kung pasaen siya, then yung enter, exit, [tapos] kung nagsaen itong suspect," PEMS Carlo Paña, Public Information Officer of the Legazpi City Philippine National Police (PNP), said.

The police are also investigating if the suspect is involved in other crimes in the city.

"Igwa kami digding mga rogues' gallery, [o] su mga dati ng naaresto [na] paluwas-luwas sa kulungan, pabalik-balik, baka maidentify 'ta lamang duman base sa kua kan CCTV footages," Paña said.

The PNP has urged the public, especially business owners, to ensure their premises are locked securely to prevent similar incidents.
