A passenger of a truck died while two drivers were severely injured in a road crash in Mawab, Davao de Oro.
According to the Mawab Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), the accident involved a pick-up truck and a delivery van.
The pick-up truck was bound for Tagum City while the van was heading to Nabunturan town.
Police said the road was reportedly slippery at that time, prompting the pick-up truck to swerve to the opposite lane, and crash into the van.
The passenger of the pickup truck was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The drivers of the two vehicles sustained severe injuries after they were stuck inside the vehicles.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
