A couple running a sari-sari store in Bangued, Abra were injured after they were assaulted by three men following a dispute over a failed e-wallet transaction.

The incident began when a man stormed into the store and struck the male store owner repeatedly, leading to a physical altercation.

When the man's wife attempted to intervene, she, too, was caught up in the violence.

Two additional men joined the attacker, throwing objects and hitting the store owner.

The altercation stopped when neighbors stepped in.

Both the husband and wife sustained injuries.

According to the male store owner, the aggressor became enraged because he could not cash out P200 from his e-wallet at the store.

The store owner said they were unable to process the transaction because they did not receive any funds from the man.

The identities of the three attackers, who were found to be drunk at the time, have been determined.

The incident has been reported to the police for further investigation.
