The chiefs of police and officers-in-charge of 19 police stations in Davao City were relieved from their posts effective Monday, July 8, 2024.

They will be reassigned to the different offices in PRO-11.

“Ang 19 ka police stations nga mga station commanders and officer-in-charge kay na-relieve effective July 8, 2024,” Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) Spokesperson, Major Catherine Dela Rey, said.

Officials from the regional headquarter and police provincial offices will replace the 19 station commanders.

Dela Rey said the mass relief is among the decisions made by the regional director who may assign and reassign officers.

“Ang pagkaka-relieve nila is part sa trabaho. Duty sa regional director to assign and reassign police officers as he deemed fit. And it doesn’t mean nga na-relieve and mga station commanders kay maapektuhan ang security ug gina-enjoy na peace and order karon sa Davao region,” Dela Rey said.

Dela Rey also said the relief is not connected to the service of arrest warrants against Pastor Quiboloy last June 10, 2024.

“Depende na sa provincial director kung asa sila na mga offices ibutang,” Dela Rey said.

PRO-11 assured the public that the tight security in the city will remain amid the latest development.
