A couple was shot dead inside their car in Butuan City.
Police said the victims were supposed to attend a hearing at the barangay hall but the same was cancelled.
While on their way home, they were shot by suspects on board a motorcycle as they were traversing Purok 5B in Barangay Amparo.
The couple was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Investigators are eyeing land dispute as possible motive in the killing.
Authorities have already identified persons of interest.
“Pineprepare na yung documents para sa filing ng kaso,” Butuan City Police Office Chief PIO, Lt. Crispolo Alburo, said.
