At least 13 voters in Mangaldan, Pangasinan, will face the Election Registration Board (ERB) on July 15, 2024 after discrepancies were found in their registration records.
An Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) matching report revealed that they are registered not only in Mangaldan but also in other municipalities.
"’Yun ang na-find out ng head office — if they are the same person," Gloria Cadiente, the Mangaldan Municipal Election Officer, said.
If it is proven that the voters are registered in multiple locations, they could be removed from the voter list in Mangaldan.
"Dapat lang talaga na alisin sila kasi para silang nandadaya," Narliza Padua, a voter, said.
Over 1,000 new registrants from April 2024 to June 2024 will also be subjected to an ERB hearing.
