A policeman sustained a gunshot wound on his right arm after a drug suspect fired allegedly at him during a buy-bust operation in Kabankalan City in the Province of Negros Occidental.
Staff Sergeant Iric Montoyo of Kabankalan City Police Station was injured when one of two subjects in the buy-bust operation in Barangay Tan-awan resisted arrest and fired at Montoyo on July 2, 2024.
According to the police, one of the suspects noticed that they were dealing with the authorities.
Despite the incident, the arrest of the two suspects was facilitated.
Suspected shabu seized from the suspects amounted to P130,000, the Kabankalan City Police disclosed.
