A Red-Backed Sea Eagle, or Brahminy Kite, was rescued by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Pili in Camarines Sur after it was discovered by a resident in Barangay San Isidro, Pili.

The eagle, now under the care of the office, was found weak in a local residence.

Efforts are underway to turn over the eagle to the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Iriga for rehabilitation and eventual release back into the wild.

The Brahminy Kite is classified as "Least Concern" on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List, though its population has seen declines in recent years.
