A 54-year-old man was struck from behind by a speeding motorcycle while he was riding his bicycle in Barangay Sto. Tomas, Magarao, Camarines Sur.

The man was on his way home to Barangay Bell, Magarao when the incident happened.

The impact threw both riders off their vehicles. 

The cyclist was taken to the hospital immediately but the other reportedly refused hospital treatment.

Police investigation revealed that both men were drunk during the incident.

"Ta nakainom sinda medyo baga pag nakainom an sarong tawo mayo sa wisyo. Baka po dae niya man nahiling ta medyo baka madiklom man duman sa lugar—katong barangay Sto. Tomas," PEMS. Emmanuel Borromeo of Magarao Municipal Police Station (MPS), said.

The rider was ticketed for driving under the influence and for having expired registration documents.

The parties involved are yet to reach an agreement, as of this writing.
