A motorcycle rider hit a police officer's vehicle from behind after allegedly attempting to flee a checkpoint in Naga City, Camarines Sur.

The incident occurred during a One-Time Big-Time operation conducted by the Naga City Police Office and the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Naga.

Both the 39-year-old rider and the person riding in pillion sustained minor injuries in the incident.

Police said the rider smelled of alcohol.

"Si driver po, nung nadatnan ko, ay nakahiga na po sa kalsada, and may mga dugo yung mukha... nangangamoy din po ng alak," PLTCOL. Chester Pomar, Public Information Officer (PIO) of the Naga City Police Office (NCPO), said.

A probationary settlement has been initiated among those involved.

Police remind motorists to ensure they have complete documents and a valid license before operating or riding any vehicle.
