A 165-kilogram tuna was washed ashore in Barangay 6, Mercedes, Camarines Norte.

Children who were playing at sea who spotted the fish first were frightened by its size.

However, once it was confirmed to be a tuna, local fishermen captured the fish quickly.

Six people worked together to bring the tuna to the Mercedes fish port, where it was sold for P16,000.

For the fishermen, this incident is proof that the waters around their town are still rich and bountiful.
