President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the distribution of various assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and their families in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental; in Bacolod City of the Province of Negros Occidental, and in San Jose de Buenavista town, Province of Antique all on June 27, 2024.

The President hands over farm machineries, equipment, and other support services to enhance productivity and sustainability in the agricultural sector. 

The key distributions include P10,000 each to 10 beneficiaries from Negros Oriental; P10,000 each to 10 beneficiaries from Siquijor; P50 million to the Provincial Government of Negros Oriental; and P25,440,000 to the Provincial Government of Siquijor.

In addition, the Department of Social Welfare and Development provides P10,000 to select beneficiaries. 

IN SAN JOSE DE BUENAVISTA, ANTIQUE

In the morning of June 27, 2024, the President flew in to San Jose de Buenavista, Antique for the turnover of farm machineries and equipment, as well as hand over P10,000 each to 50 select beneficiaries from Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, Capiz, and Aklan provinces. 

Antique, Iloilo, Capiz, and Aklan received P50 million each, while P28,410,000 was handed over to the Provincial Government of Guimaras as presidential assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and families who have been affected severely by the El Niño crisis in the past couple of months.

IN BACOLOD CITY

The President was in Bacolod City as well to hand out assistance amounting to P10,000 each to 10 recipients in Bacolod City, and another 10 recipients in Province of Negros Occidental, as well as monetary support amounting to P10 million to the City Government of Bacolod and P50 million to the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.

Farm machineries and equipment are also provided to the beneficiaries of various agencies.
