The Bureau of Fire Protection responded to a burning sports utility vehicle (SUV) on San Jose Road in Barangay Cristo Rey, Capas, Tarlac and found in the vehicle an ATM card and ID picture of a missing beauty pageant contestant from Pampanga.

Geneva Lopez, 26, and her 37-year-old Israeli boyfriend, Yhshak Kohen, have been missing for several days, as reported by the womans’ family in Angeles City.

The burnt vehicle was unoccupied, but inside, a pouch containing Lopez's ATM card and ID picture was found.

The family confirmed that the vehicle that caught fire was the one Lopez and her boyfriend used.

The police are investigating information suggesting the couple traveled from Pampanga to Tarlac to inspect a piece of land for possible purchase.

"Nagpunta dito 'yung tao na kakatagpuin ng mga victims. Nakuhanan natin ng statement pero for verification ang statement niya," PLTCOL. Librado Manarang Jr., Chief of Capas Police Station, said.

The family's plea for help circulated on social media, particularly among pageant groups in Pampanga.

Based on police investigation, a relative was able to communicate with Lopez last afternoon on June 21, 2024. Lopez had said she was heading to Capas, Tarlac to collect payment for a debt.

"Ang missing person natin [ay ang] babae na kapatid nitong ating reportee. Sabi [ng missing person sa kanya], 'Pupunta po ako ng Capas maniningil ako... pautang po,'” PMAJ. Vicky Tamayo, Station Commander of Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) Station 4, said.
