The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) has launched an investigation into the false information spreading on social media that former President Rodrigo Duterte has died.
In an interview over GMA Super Radyo Davao, DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon said the intelligence operatives have coordinated with the Anti-Cybercrime Unit of DCPO to trace those behind the proliferation of the false information.
Senator Christopher “Bong” Go’ Facebook went live on his Facebook page together with Duterte to refute the information.
Go said the former president is still alive and kicking.
Duterte added he is just staying and resting at his house in Davao City.
Go said he will not leave Duterte and warned the public against false information.
Alive and Kicking. May konting sakit pero at his age he’s very healthy,” Go said.
