Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III has assumed formally as the new director of the Police Regional Office-Davao (PRO-11) on Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Torre replaced Brigadier General Aligre Martinez who was transferred to the PNP Holding and Accounting Unit in Camp Crame.

PRO-11 said earlier that the relief of Martinez may have something to do with serving of arrest warrants against Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and five others on June 10, 2024.

Torre was the former chief of the Quezon City Police District and has relinquished his post as director of the PNP Communications and Electronics Service to serve in Davao Region.

During the assumption of office ceremony presided over by Major General Benjamin Silo Jr., commander of the Area Police Commnad-Eastern Mindanao, Torre expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him as the new director of PRO-11.

Torre also asked the support and cooperation of all local government units in the region, stakeholders, and the general public in his efforts to serve the people of Davao Region and fulfill the mission and vision of the PNP.

According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, Torre assured that he will focus on resolving the issues faced by PRO-11 in the past weeks and vowed to maintain the peace and order in the region.
