One of the seven drug suspects who bolted the detention facility of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Zamboanga City has been rearrested.
The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Zamboanga (CIDG-9) arrested the suspect, a 40-year-old man, in Barangay Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City.
CIDG-9 said the hunt continues for the other escapees through the agency’s “Oplan Tugis.”
The agency assured that the remaining escapees will be rearrested.
It can be recalled that the drug suspects escaped through the ceiling and by digging a hole through the wall of the detention cell of PDEA-Zamboanga City dawn on May 13, 2024.
PDEA-9 has earlier called on the relatives and friends of the escapees to report to authorities should they have knowledge of their whereabouts.
