A businesswoman linked to the February 2024 shooting incident that killed a businessman in Iligan City was arrested in Barangay Tubod on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

The woman tagged by the police as number three most wanted person in Northern Mindanao was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant for murder issued by a court on May 13, 2024, with no bail recommended.

According to the Police Regional Office-Northern Mindanao (PRO-10), the woman was allegedly involved in the killing of a businessman in the city.

A CCTV footage showed the woman allegedly seen together with the gunman who shot the victim later that day and fled.

Investigators are looking into business as motive in the killing.

“This underscores our relentless pursuit of justice for the victims and their families. As we move forward, let us remain vigilant and committed to our duties, ensuring that justice prevails and that peace and order are maintained across our region. I extend my gratitude to all personnel involved in this operation for a job well done,” PRO-10 Director, Brigadier General Ricardo Layug Jr., said.
