Around 300 Navy Reservists are set to participate in a mobilization exercise or MOBEX, led by the Naval Forces Northern Luzon in San Fernando City, La Union.
During the opening program, Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci, Jr. said drills and training exercises are important in showcasing the Philippine Navy's response capabilities.
The exercise also highlights the collaboration among various government defense forces.
San Fernando City is among the venues selected for various drills, including humanitarian assistance and disaster response, as well as amphibious landing simulations.
The MOBEX will continue across different parts of Northern Luzon until May 19, 2024.
