Occupants of a house in Iriga City, Camarines Sur were alarmed when a bronze back snake was found in one of the rooms of their house.
The snake was captured quickly and turned over to the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in Iriga City.
According to CENRO, bronze back snakes are classified as non-venomous.
A python, which was found in another residence earlier, was also turned over to CENRO Iriga.
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) reminded the public to turn over snakes to the agency as possessing them illegally can lead to penalties.
